A day in the Life of Ryo | Utah Lifestyle Photographer

A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2015

The 52 Project

If you haven’t been following me on Instagram, I started posting my once a week portraits of Ryo.  Are you doing The 52 Project too with Practising Simplicity?  If so, I’d love to follow along! Please link your blog in the comments below!

It has really helped me make sure I don’t miss out on documenting my most important creation.  I love how lifestyle sessions show exactly what life is like at the moment.  Posed portraits can be great, but I’ve found that the images that are the most raw and show a peek at what life is really like are my most prized possessions.

9 months on the 11th and this busy little bee is keeping me on my toes and is into EVERYTHING now that he’s a mega fast army crawler.

He is obsessed with unscrewing the door stoppers and I cannot keep them out of his mouth.  He also has a thing for grinding his new 8 teeth and it’s the worst sound that I’ve ever heard.  I have only just barely needed to start teaching him the word “no”, and he takes note, ignores me, and carries on.   He likes to pull himself up (although he is super unstable) knock all his books down, open and close doors, and is finally holding his bottle on his own (hallelujah!).  And those grabby little hands…I have to keep the floor spotless because everything is considered food and I must keep a 24/7 watchful eye as he goes straight for the stairs any chance he gets.

Do you see a theme here?  I’m exhausted but I’m pretty obsessed with Mr. Personality.  My miracle baby keeps surprising me with the amount of love that oozes out of me, and my heart grows bigger a little more each day.
